Raviji, first thank you for this page is an amazing place. I have two question... First I have learn the Ṛṣyādinyāsaḥ for this mantra as: "hrīṃ bījam| hūṁ śaktiḥ| krīṁ kīlakam|" and I've seen it the same way in many books. Can you please explain this variation of the bījam, and if it has implications for the seeker? Also i have always made japa in the ajna cakra but i've heard that the Kālī mantras has to be meditated in the Svādhiṣṭhāna cakra, can you please explain if this is true?

There are two krama-s - kādi and hādi. Kādi krama use krīṁ and hādi krama use hrīṁ. Hence the difference.

It is wrong to say that Kali worship is dangerous, as long as we do the worship in normal way.

By normal way, I am referring to Vedic way of worship. There are several ways of Tantra worship and one should practice them under the able guidance of a Guru, who are very rare nowadays.

Sir, here in the viniyog we say we are reciting this mantra to see and talk with kali devi, does it means if we do required number of japa systematically, then devi gives darshan?. And sir i have heard puruscharana of kali mantras are very risky as devi's ganas will do their maximum to make us stop the sadhana halfway. Is this true?

These two mantras are taken from two different sources. Hence the difference. Both are correct and it is up to us to decide which one to take.

When the mantra changes, nyasas will also change, as nyasas are based only on the mantra.

English Translation :- Is it permissible to recite the Dakṣiṇa Kāli mantra of 22 letters, without an initiation from a guru? I am unable to obtain any proper guidance and I regard the Divine Mother Kāli like my own mother and I am deeply attracted towards Her and I feel that She also draws me towards Her.

This mantra requires an initiation from a able guru. There are also several nyālsā-s that one must perform, such as the ṣoḍhā nyāsa, that are considered essential. Please see if you can find a suitable guru and you may also check out the Mantra Initiations page to see if you can find someone to help you. If you are still unable to find a suitable guru, you may choose Lord Dakṣiṇāmutri as your guru and proceed. There is an article for self-initiation that you may wish to read, if you would like to choose this method. We would strongly suggest finding a guru who can guide you in your sādhana. First and foremost is devotion to the Divine Mother, which you already have. Please follow the next steps and proceed with the sādhana.

Please don't worry, For maa dakshina kali 22 syllable mantra you don't require any guru initiation or diksha... There is a text, a sacred text, dealing with all sorts of mantras, Tantric mantras included, called "The Mantramahodadhi of Mahidhara" where the mantra I am speaking about is presented. There must be thousands of mantras in that sacred text and only one is readily available to anyone. Page 48, 3rd Taranga states, verse 2-5: "There is no necessity for the purification by means of Siddha or Sadhya procedures. Nor is there necessity of taxing the mind too much or performing the Purascarana (initiatory rites). This is the queen of Mantras. By merely remembering this one gets the eight Supernatural powers."

The Taraṅgas (chapters) towards the end of Mantra Mahodadhi describe the procedures for determining the suitability of a mantra to an initiate. Yes, this mantra can be given to anyone that a guru considers to be eligible and the guru need not run through the various suitability checks, is what is mentioned as per the note you posted. There are also certain initiatory rites that may be skipped, but the actual initiation itself SHOULD NOT be skipped. You should also probe and investigate why the ṣoḍhā nyāsa and additional nyāsas are described in the same book, along with the pīṭha (pedestal) and āvaraṇa (coverings) pūja. I have been reciting this mantra along with the nyāsas for years now and haven't experienced any powers. A lot of good has happened to us and I have experienced success in many areas. The same has also been true for my family and those associated with me. I certainly bow down to the Divine Mother for Her grace and blessings showered upon all of us. My sincere advice is to try and find a suitable guru, who can assist you with the sadhana. Only when such a guru cannot be found and if the desire is still very strong, you may self-initiate with the steps mentioned on this site and elsewhere as well.
