Atha Śrī Dvātriṃśatyakṣara Haridrā Gaṇapati Mahāmantraḥ!!!
अथ श्री द्वात्रिंशत्यक्षर हरिद्रा गणपति महामन्त्रः!!!

Purpose :- To attain knowledge of the Divine, Spiritual wealth and accomplishment of all desires, material and spiritual. Victory over all enemies and competitions and ushering in auspiciousness.
Introduction :- Śrī Gaṇapati is verily the eternal singular reality – Brahman Itself. He bestows spiritual knowledge, removes all obstacles in our progress and dispels all ignorance to help us expand our consciousness to its highest level. This one lettered mantra is also His seed bīja mantra, which also represents the Gāyatrī mātṛkā śakti, enhances the faculties of discernment, assimilation of knowledge and progress on material and spiritual fronts. The sincere devotees of Lord Gaṇeśa will experience great comforts and well-being in their lives and He is adored and duly worshipped before the start of any new beginnings. Śrī Haridrā Gaṇapati is invoked to gain victory over all enemies, internal and external thereby heralding auspiciousness.
1. Viniyogaḥ (विनियोगः) :-
om̐ asyaśrī haridrā gaṇeśa mantrasya .
madana ṛṣiḥ .
anuṣṭup chandaḥ .
haridrā gaṇeśa (gaṇapa) devatā .
mamābhīṣṭa siddhyarthe jape viniyogaḥ ॥
ॐ अस्यश्री हरिद्रा गणेश मन्त्रस्य ।
मदन ऋषिः ।
अनुष्टुप् छन्दः ।
हरिद्रा गणेश (गणप) देवता ।
ममाभीष्ट सिद्ध्यर्थे जपे विनियोगः ॥
Meaning:- This prayer/mantra japa is to invoke Śrī Haridrā Gaṇapati and perform His mantra japa to obtain His complete grace in all aspects, and to obtain the four puruṣārtha-s – dharma (justice, law), artha (wealth), kāma (desires) and mokṣa (liberation) and all desires that one may seek from the Divine. The sage (ṛṣiḥ) is the obstacle remover Lord Madana, the meter (chandas) for the mantra is Anuṣṭup and the deity is Śrī Haridrā Gaṇeśa (Gaṇapa).
2. Ṛṣyādi nyāsa ( ऋष्यादि न्यास ) :-

Open both the palms; run the opened palms of the right hand on the front and back sides of the left palm and repeat the same for the other palm. |

Cross both the hands and run the fully opened palms from shoulders to finger tips. |
5 |
stambhaya stambhaya netratrayāya vauṣaṭ |
स्तम्भय स्तम्भय नेत्रत्रयाय वौषट् |
Touch the eyes with the right index and ring fingers, with the middle finger touching the ājña cakra. |
6 |
svāhā astrāya phaṭ |
स्वाहा अस्त्राय फट् |
Open up the left palm and strike it three times with index and middle fingers of the right hand. |
7 |
iti ṣaḍaṅga nyāsaḥ |
इति षडङ्ग न्यासः |

bhūr-bhuva-ssuvarom-iti digbandhaḥ ॥
भूर्भुवस्सुवरोमिति दिग्बन्धः॥
(May all the directions be bound and no interferences come from any direction.)
5. Dhyānaṃ (ध्यानं) :-
pāśāṅkuśau modakam-ekadantaṃ karair-dadhānaṃ kanakāsanastham ।
haridrākhaṇḍa pratimaṃ trinetraṃ pītāṃśukaṃ rātrigaṇeśamīḍe ॥ 1 ॥
पाशाङ्कुशौ मोदकमेकदन्तं करैर्दधानं कनकासनस्थम् ।
हरिद्राखण्ड प्रतिमं त्रिनेत्रं पीतांशुकं रात्रिगणेशमीडे ॥ १ ॥
Meaning: Salutations to the Divine Lord Haridrā Gaṇeśa, the remover of all obstacles, turmeric-yellow in complexion and adorned in turmeric yellow garments. He is three-eyed and holds in His four arms, a noose and an elephant goad on His upper set of arms and a sweetmeat modaka and a tusk on the lower set of arms. He is also praised with His epithet as Rātri-gaṇeśa.
The yellow complexion indicates His demeanor to fight against all enemies, internal and external. The noose – pāśa, is for drawing the deluded beings referred to as paśus back to their own true reality and away from the cosmic illusion of māyā, which supplants the ego and an individual identity within us. The elephant goad Aṅkuśa, represents the driving away of stubborn karma that binds us to the worldly existence and the eternal cycle of life and death, cause and effects of the material reality. The modaka represents the sweet benefits that are offered by the Divine Lord to all His devotees. The broken tusk represents His status as the Singular Eternal Reality as Parabrahman. The third-eye represents an elevated Ājñā cakra.
pītāmbaraṃ pītavarṇaṃ pīta gandhānulepanaṃ pītapuṣpaiḥ pūjyamānaṃ maṇi siṃhāsana sthitam ।
pīta bhūṣaṃ trinetraṃ ca ṣaḍbhujaṃ ca varābhayaṃ krodha mudrā sṛṇiṃ pāśaṃ paraśuṃ vibhrataṃ karaiḥ ॥ 2 ॥
पीताम्बरं पीतवर्णं पीत गन्धानुलेपनं पीतपुष्पैः पूज्यमानं मणि सिंहासन स्थितम् ।
पीत भूषं त्रिनेत्रं च षड्भुजं च वराभयं क्रोध मुद्रा सृणिं पाशं परशुं विभ्रतं करैः ॥ २ ॥
Meaning: Salutations to the Divine Lord Haridrā Gaṇeśa, the remover of all obstacles, turmeric-yellow complexioned, clad in turmeric yellow garments, adorned with fragrant yellow sandal paste, yellow flowers and seated on a dazzling jeweled throne. He is three-eyed and appears with six arms bearing the fear allaying abhaya mudra and the boon bestowing varada mudra on His lower arms, the wrath displaying Krodha mudra and an elephant goad - sṛṇiṃ on His middle set of arms, a noose - pāśaṃ and a battle-axe on the lower set of arms.

The noose – pāśa, is for drawing the deluded beings referred to as paśus back to their own true reality and away from the cosmic illusion of māyā, which supplants the ego and an individual identity within us. The elephant goad Sṛṇiṃ, represents the driving away of stubborn karma that binds us to the worldly existence and the eternal cycle of life and death, cause and effects of the material reality. The Krodha mudra represents His wrath towards our enemies, both internal and external. The battle-axe will sever all karmic bonds and liberate us. The Abhaya and Vara mudras remove all our fears and grant all that we seek from the Lord. The third-eye represents an elevated Ājñā cakra.

Hold the fingers of each palm in a folded manner with the tips of each fingers of both hands touching each other and the thumbs facing the heart, in a Namaste position. |
7. Japamālā mantraṃ (जपमाला मन्त्रं) :-
Recite the below mantra once, to pray to the japa māla and invoke the blessings for a fruitful japa.
om̐ māṃ māle mahāmāye sarvamantra svarūpiṇi ।
caturvarga stvayinyasta stasmānye siddhidā bhava ॥
ॐ मां माले महामाये सर्वमन्त्र स्वरूपिणि ।
चतुर्वर्ग स्त्वयिन्यस्त स्तस्मान्ये सिद्धिदा भव॥
8. Guru Mantra (गुरु मन्त्र) :- Recite the following guru mantra once, to seek the blessings of all gurus and the Guru.
om̐ hrīm̐ siddhaguro prasīda hrīm̐ om̐
ॐ ह्रीँ सिद्धगुरो प्रसीद ह्रीँ ॐ ।
9. Atha Śrī Dvātriṃśatyakṣara Haridrā Gaṇapati Mahā Mantraḥ (अथ श्री द्वात्रिंशत्यक्षर हरिद्रा गणपति महामन्त्रः) -
The 32 lettered mantra of Śrī Haridrā Gaṇapati is -
om̐ hum̐ gam̐ glaum̐ haridrā gaṇapataye varavarada sarvajana hṛdayaṃ stambhaya stambhaya svāhā ।
ॐ हुँ गँ ग्लौँ हरिद्रा गणपतये वरवरद सर्वजन हृदयं स्तम्भय स्तम्भय स्वाहा ।
Meaning:
The praṇava bīja om̐ (ॐ) represents the Śabda Brahman, which is the super-consciousness Itself, manifested as sound. It consists of – ‘au’ signifying healing and deep cleansing, ‘m̐’ for removal of misery.
The Kavaca bīja (seed) mantra hum̐ (हूँ) consists of – ‘h’ is Brahman/Śiva, ‘u’ is Kālavaktra signifying destruction of all fear and stillness within, ‘m̐’ indicating Duḥkhaharaṇa is for removal of misery. The overall purpose is protection and stability.
The Gaṇeśa (seed) mantra gam̐ (गँ ) represents removal of all obstacles and bestowal of complete success, prosperity and auspiciousness in all aspects. The bīja consists of – ‘ga’ indicating Lord Gaṇeśa, the remover of all obstacles and Vindu ‘m̐’ indicating Duḥkhaharaṇa or removal of all miseries.
The Bhūbīja (seed) mantra glaum̐ (ग्लौँ ) represents all the Earthly accomplishments and material desires. The bīja consists of – ‘ga’ meaning gakāra associated with discerning knowledge, wisdom and also removal of all obstacles. The letter ‘la’ represents Smṛtistha indicating remembrance of all knowledge. The letter ‘au’ signifying healing and deep cleansing. Nāda indicates Parā or Śakti and Vindu ‘m̐’ indicates Duḥkhahara or removal of all miseries.
The word ‘haridrā’ represents turmeric or yellow color. It represents auspiciousness as well as the will and strong ability to fight against all enemies, internal and external.
The word ‘gaṇapataye’ represents ‘gaṇa’ meaning the entirety of the sentient Creation (all living beings) and the word ‘pataye’ means the leader or representative. Lord Gaṇeśa is the Creator and head of all Creation!
The word ‘varavarada’ is simply the word ‘vara’ repeated twice and a ‘da’ added to it as part of the grammar. The word ‘vara’ literally means boons. He is the bestower of all boons, cherished wishes and desires. The greatest ‘vara’ that is expected of Him, is to shower the nectar held up in His trunk upon our head – meaning, to activate the sahasrāra cakra and release the cerebral fluid from the pineal gland and fill our body with the bliss and happiness that accompanies the emission of this fluid.
The word ‘sarvajana’ signifies the entirety of the sentient Creation.
The word ‘hṛdayaṃ’ signifies the heart.
The word ‘stambhaya’ signifies paralyzing or arresting the movement. The word is repeated twice to request the Lord to stop the progress of all the enemies – internal and external at once!
The Vahni bīja mantra svāhā (स्वाहा ) – represents oblations and submission to the deity.

13. Samarpaṇam (समर्पणम्) :- Take water in uttaraṇi (spoon) and by reciting the following śloka, offer the water to the earth.
guhyātiguhyagoptrā tvaṁ gṛhāṇāsmat-kṛtaṁ japam।
siddhirbhavatu me deva tvatprasādānmayi sthirā ॥
गुह्यातिगुह्यगोप्त्रा त्वं गृहाणास्मत्-कृतं जपम्।
सिद्धिर्भवतु मे देव त्वत्प्रसादान्मयि स्थिरा ॥
14. japānaṃtaraṃ mālāmantraṃ (जपानंतरं मालामन्त्रं) :-
Recite the below śloka and mantra, followed by placing the māla upon the top of the head and then place it back in the māla bag and conceal it. It should NOT be worn.

śubhaṃ kuruṣya me bhadre yaśo vīryaṃ ca dehime॥
