This kavaca mantra is also deployed by the celestials as needed, for protection. It also provides all types of comforts and enables one to establish themselves firmly in the society and gain enormous wealth, holdings and property. Ultimately, it can also provide complete liberation for the sincere devotees. The mantra formed by the bīja mantras of tāra (om̐), Devi or Rudra-vadhu (hrīm̐), Sarasvati or Viriñci-mahilā (aim̐), Lakṣmī or Viṣṇu priyā (śrīm̐) and Kāma (klīm̐), combined with Śrī Bagalānane and the words “mama ripūn” and “nāśāya” repeated twice -

The sage (Rṣi) is Bhairava and the meter (chandas) is Virāṭ.

She is yellow in complexion and appearance, as well as dressed in yellow garments, yellow colored jewels and a garland of yellow flowers and Her limbs are golden in color. She holds a cudgel, noose, lightning bolt and catching the tongue of enemies. She is adorned with jewels of all types and She wields the power to paralyze all the three realms and triads.

Such is the importance given to this kavacam and it is a must for those who recite Her mantras.

This is allowed, if you follow what is called the Kaula mārga. One should attribute and consecrate the food as per the prescribed rituals and then consume it. Meat, alcohol etc. are permitted in limited quantities, after making special offerings to the deity and then consumed. You may seek more details from a Kaula guru and get initiated into the path. This kavacam is suggested for those who are already reciting Her mantras.

This kavacam is effective, when followed as part of the mūla mantra japa of any Śrī Bagalāmukhī Devī mantras. If you are already initiated into Her mantras, then you may recite this kavacam as part of your daily mantra japa routine. This is also a longer mālā mantra by itself, but generally initiated after or along with any of Her shorter japa mantras.

The protection that you are seeking, is also attainable with Kāli mantras and stotras. I would suggest you stick to any of those stotras instead of this one. If you are still keen on this kavacam, then I would strongly recommend getting the mantra dīkṣa for the mantras first, before proceeding with Kavacas.

Guruji if a person wants to do it daily than falstuti should also be chanted or can it be skipped?

This kavacam is only effective with its full potential, if combined with the mantra and the Āvaraṇa pūja. Please be aware of that. That said, if you are only reciting this once a day, then go ahead and complete the entire stotram. If reciting more than once during a single sitting, then you can recite the phalaśruti at the very end for the last iteration.

Namaste Krishnaji, I have recited this kavacham once last night & once today. Both times I have experienced unpleasant images arising from the deep inner self, reflective of some of my greatest fears and buried negative feelings. It is no big deal & I understand that this is something that can happen with any kavacham, mantra, etc. but the other Bagalamukhi Kavacham seems not to have this effect on me. I am just curious as to why; in other words, what is the difference between this and the other kavacham, since they are both Bagalamukhi's?

If you have been initiated into Śrī Bagalāmukhī Devi mantras and have been directed to recite this Kavacam by your guru, then you may not face any issues. The bad dreams will pass away. If the proper initiation has not happened, then I would suggest refraining from mantra kavacas such as these, which may be harmful to the practitioner who is not properly guided by a guru. Mantras are in general considered neutral and can have both positive and negative effects and can be deployed for both good and bad purposes by an adept. This is also the main reason why they are kept hidden. What we provide here is for informational and educational purposes and is definitely not an authorization to recite without initiation.

You may read and understand the meaning of the kavacam. It is generally not a good practice to recite these stotras without a proper initiation. While it may not be harmful, the true potential of the stotram cannot be realized unless one practices the associated deity mantras also.

Namaskaram Krishna garu, I have received deeksha for bagalamukhi sadhana from Sivapremanand ji of srividhyasadhana but it does not encompass this specific kavacham. Is it safe for me to recite this kavacham? Can you please share your thoughts on this.

Also, can you please offer clarification that in general, reading a stotra that may have beej mantras with in (such as saraswati kavacham for example or Narasimha trilokya vijaya kavacham) but skipping the mantra in the beginning that usually comes after dhyana sloka and nyasas incase if one isnt initiated by a guru in that mantra/nyasas specifically, is regarded as safe (may be ineffective relatively but safe neverthless) is it true?

If there is a Viniyoga, then most likely there will be nyāsas and it would then become a mantra kavacam or strotram. In cases such as these, a separate initiation to the relevant kavacam/stotram is required. Removing the prerequisites and simply reciting the body of the verses is not reccommended, unless otherwise advised explicitly by one's guru. My sincere suggestion is to follow the entire procedure after seeking permission/initiation from your guru.
