Śrī devī khaḍgamālārchanam श्री देवी खड्गमालार्चनम्
This is more or less a mini version of navāvaraṇa pūjā without involving elaborate procedures and in particular establishing arghya vessels. Though, this cannot be a replacement of regular navāvaraṇa pūjā, yet it pleases different śakti-s in Śri Chakra. Perfection attained in doing this as archana will enable us to understand all the śakti-s of Śri Chakra, which will be of great help while doing navāvaraṇa pūjā. There are fifteen versions of khaḍgamālā, corresponding to fifteen lunar days (tithi-s) and fifteen akṣara-s of Pañchadaśī mantra. Khaḍgamālā is based on number of akṣara-s in each of these versions. Similarly, dhyāna verses, ṛṣi and chandas differ according to the lunar day and the akṣara. What is given here is śuddha śakti namonta mālā, which is generally used for archana.

Please correct 'pīṭhasthitia' to 'pīṭhasthiti' and also the steps 3 to 6 of the Hrdayādi nyāsaḥ, the starting bijas in the IAST font are not correct, based on the sanskrit font. The same should also be corrected in the consolidated download file please!

Thank you for pointing out these errors. I have corrected. Sometimes, even after corrections, both Sanskrit and IAST fonts show different things.

Namaskar Raviji, 1) Why is it said that Khadgamala/Shuddha Shakti Mala needs initiation even though it is only list of names of Avarana Devis?. Similarly Trishati only uses first letter from Panchadasi. I can understand Maha Ganapati, Bala, Panchadasi, Shodashi mantras having scriptural injunctions but wondering why for Khadgamala & Trishati? 2) Bhaskararaya did vyakhya on Khadgaadi 15 Malas in which he did Mantrodhara. You shared so many srividya secretive works/practices but chose not to do mantrodhara of Khadgaadi malas. Wondering if it is too secretive to share? Thanks in advance

1. Anything related with Śrī Pañcadaśi devi requires an initiation and that's the reason why the Śrī devī khaḍgamāla mandates the same. Triśati and Sahasranāma are also mantras in their own right and therefore require an initiation. 2. Maybe sometime in the future if time permits, we can get to the different versions of the khaḍgamāla-s and their secrets. Beyond pañcadaśi, there really is no secret, although many later texts elaborate on ṣoḍaśi, the root and all-encompassing secret mantra is pañcadaśi only.

Thanks Krishnaji. Translation of Sri Vidyaranyas Vyakhya on Shuddha Shakti Mala to English (more importantly the Mantrodhara part) will be great. Just the first mala(khadgamala) commentary will do. Maybe publish an English translation as Amazon Kindle Book?

Krishnaji, Please check this link below for the telugu book "Srividya Panchadasa Khadgamala" by Sri Varanasi Venkateswarulu garu. Pl. read the description completely in which they mention that Srividyaranya commented on Khadgaadi malas and did Mantrodharas for all. https://www.avkf.org/BookLink/display_titled_book.php?book_id=16621 There is another bigger commentary on secrets of Khadgamala(Khadgamala Rahasyalu) by Sri Nori Subramanya Shastriji : https://www.telugubooks.in/products/sri-devi-khadgamala-rahasyalu For some strange reasons all telugu commentators use telugu grandhika basha which I struggle hard to get through. Thats why I requested you for an English translation :) Given large number of initiated and uninitiated members recite Khadgamala daily, it might help all of them if you can find time to translate Sri vidyaranya vyakhya for atleast the first mala/Khadgamala/Shuddha shakti mala. Thanks in advance :)

Commentary by Śrī Bhāskararāya is mentioned in the description. Thank you for the link. I will study this book and relevant material and translate when time allows. The other book may be alluding to the same material as well. The grāndhika bhāṣa is literally Sanskrit and is difficult to understand unlike the lokika/vyavahārika bhāṣa that we normally speak and understand. I will do my best to translate into English.

Thanks Krishanji. Oops I meant to say Sri Bhaskararaya but typed Srividyaranya by mistake. BTW Apparently Rudrayamala says, "One should repeat Shakti Mala after the Japa of the Moola mantra (Panchadashi / Shodashi). This increases the merit obtained by chanting the Moola thousand times. O Uma, a person who is not duly initiated into the secrets of Srividyachara, destroys his life here and thereafter, by chanting this Mala. Kurukulla destroys his family and dynasty". If its genuine citation - maybe its not a bad idea to put a warning in your article/book with correct sanskrit reference in Rudrayamala.

Ji, Do you have notes on Shuddha Shakti Sambudyanta Mala ? the one published here is namarchana which is used during archana right ? Thought the Shuddha Shakti Sambudyanta Mala is the one that is minimum mandatory for upasaka. Ref : https://www.kamakotimandali.com/srividya/khadga.html (Line 13 : The next better thing is to chant Shuddha Shakti Sambudhyanta Mala and the Mala of that particular Tithi. The last thing would be to simply recite Shuddha Shakti Sambudyanta Mala, which is considered mandatory. )
