॥ Śrīkamalātmikā Kavacam ॥ (॥ श्रीकमलात्मिका कवचम् ॥)
Prologue:- Those desirous of wealth, both spiritual and material, need look no further than the tenth Mahāvidya Śrī Kamalātmikā. This Śrī Kamalātmikā Kavacam offers immense protection to the devotee and also provides abundant wealth. It is best to recite with any of Śrī Kamalātmikā’s mantras for faster results.
Śrī Gaṇeśāya namaḥ ।
श्रीगणेशाय नमः ।
Obeisance to Lord Gaṇeśa. May He remove all obstacles and usher in auspiciousness.
atha vakṣe maheśāni kavacaṃ sarva-kāmadam ।
yasya vijñāna-mātreṇa bhavet-sākṣāt-sadāśivaḥ ॥ 1 ॥
अथ वक्षे महेशानि कवचं सर्वकामदम् ।
यस्य विज्ञानमात्रेण भवेत्साक्षात्सदाशिवः ॥ १ ॥
Oh powerful and magnificent Maheśi (Śakti), Please listen to this Kavacam/armor that fulfills all desires and accomplishes every task. There is an immeasurable amount of knowledge, that can be obtained through this kavacam. Thus spoke Lord Śiva to His consort Goddess Śakti, introducing the wondrous Śrī Kamalātmikā Kavacam.
nārcanaṃ tasya deveśi mantra-mātraṃ japen-naraḥ ।
sa bhavet-pārvatī-putraḥ sarva-śāstra-viśāradaḥ ॥ 2 ॥
नार्चनं तस्य देवेशि मन्त्रमात्रं जपेन्नरः ।
स भवेत्पार्वतीपुत्रः सर्वशास्त्रविशारदः ॥ २ ॥
Oh magnificent One, Even if one recites this entire mantra kavacam without the arcana rituals praising the Goddess Kamalā, He shall surely gain, in due course of time, the entire knowledge of all the scriptures, like Lord Gaṇeśa.
vidyārthināṃ sadā sevyā dhanadātrī-viśeṣataḥ ।
vanārthibhiḥ sadā sevyā kamalā viṣṇu-vallabhā ॥ 3 ॥
विद्यार्थिनां सदा सेव्या धनदात्रीविशेषतः ।
वनार्थिभिः सदा सेव्या कमला विष्णुवल्लभा ॥ ३ ॥
All those seeking Divine Knowledge and spiritual wealth, will not be disappointed. Those seeking material wealth, will abound in riches that will last lifetimes. One who serves and prays sincerely to Goddess Kamalā (Lakṣmi), the consort of Lord Viṣṇu, will never have any lack of wealth, both material and spiritual.
viniyogaḥ (विनियोगः) :-
oṃ asyāścaturakṣarī viṣṇu vallabhāyāḥ kavacasya śrī bhagavān śiva ṛṣīḥ ।
anuṣṭup chandaḥ ।
vāgbhavī śaktir devatā ।
vāgbhavaṃ bījaṃ ।
lajjā-ramā kīlakam ।
kāma-bījātmakaṃ kavacam mama supāṇḍitya-kavitva-sarvasiddhi-samṛddhaye pāṭhe viniyogaḥ ॥
ॐ अस्याश्चतुरक्षरी विष्णुवल्लभायाः कवचस्य श्री भगवान् शिव ऋषीः ।
अनुष्टुप्छन्दः ।
वाग्भवीशक्तिर् देवता ।
वाग्भवं बीजं ।
लज्जा रमा कीलकम् ।
कामबीजात्मकं कवचम् मम सुपाण्डित्य-कवित्व-सर्वसिद्धि-समृद्धये पाठे विनियोगः ॥
In honor of the four lettered Goddess Mahālakṣmi, the consort of Lord Viṣṇu, this Kamalā Kavacam was composed by the sage/ṛṣīḥ Śrī Bhagavān Śiva (Lord Śiva). The metre or chandas, is Anuṣṭup. The power/śakti and deity, is the knowledge bestowing Vāgbhavī. The seed/bīja is Vāgbhava or knowledge. The key/kīlaka is Lajjāramā. This wish bestowing kavacam is also for gaining immense knowledge, mastery of scriptures, poetry, magical powers, accomplishment of all tasks and all round prosperity and health.
aiṅkāro mastake pātu vāgbhavo sarva-siddhidā ।
hrīm̐ pātu cakṣuṣor-madhye cakṣur-yugme ca śāṅkarī ॥ 4 ॥
ऐङ्कारो मस्तके पातु वाग्भवो सर्वसिद्धिदा ।
ह्रीँ पातु चक्षुषोर्मध्ये चक्षुर्युग्मे च शाङ्करी ॥ ४ ॥
The knowledge bestowing seed/bīja aim̐, protects the head and the knowledge bestowing Vāgbhava, provides all magical siddhis. In addition, it also provides the knowledge to accomplish all tasks.
The power, concentration and energizing seed/bīja hrīm̐, protects the middle of the forehead and the fate transforming Goddess Śaṅkarī, protects the eyes.
The protection implied here, is for shielding us against misinformation as well as misleading knowledge and steering us towards gaining the ultimate knowledge or Brahma jñāna, for self-realization and spiritual liberation. The śloka (hymn) implicitly suggests the enhancement of the Ājñā (third-eye/pineal gland) and Sahasrāra (crown) cakras and gaining enhanced perception of the ultimate reality within and around us.
jihvāyāṃ mukhavṛtte ca karṇayor-dantayor-nasi ।
oṣṭhādhare danta-paṅktau tālumūle hanau punaḥ ॥ 5 ॥
जिह्वायां मुखवृत्ते च कर्णयोर्दन्तयोर्नसि ।
ओष्ठाधरे दन्तपङ्क्तौ तालुमूले हनौ पुनः ॥ ५ ॥
The tongue, face, ears, nostrils, upper and lower lips, upper and lower teeth and palette, as well as the upper and lower jaws and cheeks -
pātu māṃ viṣṇu-vanitā lakṣmīḥ śrī-varṇa-rūpiṇī ।
skandha-yugme bhuja-dvandve stana-dvandve ca pārvatī ॥ 6 ॥
पातु मां विष्णुवनिता लक्ष्मीः श्रीवर्णरूपिणी ।
स्कन्धयुग्मे भुजद्वन्द्वे स्तनद्वन्द्वे च पार्वती ॥ ६ ॥
are protected by Goddess Lakṣmī, the consort of Lord Viṣṇu, the divine Goddess Mother Śrī Lalita Herself. Goddess Lakṣmī illumines our face and makes us standout with our achievements and prosperity.
The mighty Goddess Pārvatī, protects the shoulders, arms, breasts and the entire chest region. She provides us with a wonderful physique and an attractive body and personality.
hṛdaye maṇi-bandhe ca grīvāyāṃ pārśvayoḥ punaḥ ।
pṛṣṭha-deśe tathā guhye vāme ca dakṣiṇe tathā ।
upasthe ca nitambe ca nābhau jaṅghādvaye punaḥ ॥ 7 ॥
हृदये मणिबन्धे च ग्रीवायां पार्श्वयोः पुनः ।
पृष्ठदेशे तथा गुह्ये वामे च दक्षिणे तथा ।
उपस्थे च नितम्बे च नाभौ जङ्घाद्वये पुनः ॥ ७ ॥
She also protects the heart, wrists, neck, ribs, both sides of the body, the entire back region, the private parts, hips, buttocks, navel and thighs.
jānu-cakre pāda-dvandve ghuṭike'ṅguli-mūlake ।
svadhā tu prāṇa-śaktyātma sīmante mastake punaḥ ॥ 8 ॥
जानुचक्रे पादद्वन्द्वे घुटिकेऽङ्गुलिमूलके ।
स्वधा तु प्राणशक्त्यात्म सीमन्ते मस्तके पुनः ॥ ८ ॥
She also protects the knees, both the feet, ankles, soles, toes, and nails of the feet. Following the breath through the entire constituents of the body from the head to the toes and again back to the head and to the very ends of the hair, She energizes us fully and makes us complete, in all respects.
vijayā pātu bhavane jayā pātu sadā mama ।
sarvāṅge pātu kāmeśī mahādevī sarasvatī ॥ 9 ॥
विजया पातु भवने जया पातु सदा मम ।
सर्वाङ्गे पातु कामेशी महादेवी सरस्वती ॥ ९ ॥
The victory-bestowing Vijayā protects the house and all our properties. The success-bestowing Jayā protects at all times when in motion. All the body parts are protected by the wish fulfilling Kāmeśī, the great Goddess Mahādevī and the knowledge bestowing Sarasvatī.
tuṣṭiḥ pātu mahāmāyā utkṛṣṭiḥ sarvadā'vatu ।
ṛddhiḥ pātu mahā devī sarvatra śambhu-vallabhā ॥ 10 ॥
तुष्टिः पातु महामाया उत्कृष्टिः सर्वदाऽवतु ।
ऋद्धिः पातु महा देवी सर्वत्र शम्भुवल्लभा ॥ १० ॥
All contentment and satisfaction is provided by the mysterious Mahāmāyā. She also bestows high stature and elevation in society at all times.
Prosperity, wealth and abundance are all sustained by Mahādevī. The Divine Mother, the consort of Śambhu/Śiva, also provides Her blessings, for us to excel at all times and at all places.
vāgbhavo sarvadā pātu pātu māṃ haragehinī ।
ramā pātu mahādevī pātu māyā svarāṭ svayaṃ ॥ 11 ॥
वाग्भवो सर्वदा पातु पातु मां हरगेहिनी ।
रमा पातु महादेवी पातु माया स्वराट् स्वयं ॥ ११ ॥
The all knowledge bestowing Vāgbhavi, protects us at all times. Protection is also bestowed upon us by the consort (Pārvatī) of the destroyer Hara. Protection is also ensured by the Goddess of fortune Ramā (Lakṣmī), Protection is also guaranteed by the eternal Goddess Mahādevī and the cause of the cosmic illusion Mahāmāyā Herself, as well.
sarvāṅge pātu māṃ lakṣmīr-viṣṇu-māyā sureśvarī ।
śivadūtī sadā pātu sundarī pātu sarvadā ॥ 12 ॥
सर्वाङ्गे पातु मां लक्ष्मीर्विष्णुमाया सुरेश्वरी ।
शिवदूती सदा पातु सुन्दरी पातु सर्वदा ॥ १२ ॥
The entire body and its parts are protected by the wealth-bestowing Goddess Lakṣmī, the mysterious power of the Preserver Lord Viṣṇu. The Goddess Sureśvarī, the adored goddess of all the celestial suras (gods), also protects us at all times. Complete protection is also ensured by Śivadūtī,
the consort of Lord Śiva. The most beautiful and awesome Lalita Tripura Sundarī, also provides Her circle of protection to the devotees of this kavacam.
bhairavī pātu sarvatra bheruṇḍā sarvadā'vatu ।
tvaritā pātu māṃ nityam-ugra-tārā sadā'vatu ॥ 13 ॥
भैरवी पातु सर्वत्र भेरुण्डा सर्वदाऽवतु ।
त्वरिता पातु मां नित्यमुग्रतारा सदाऽवतु ॥ १३ ॥
The fearsome Goddess Bhairavī protects at all times. The formidable and terrific Goddess Bheruṇḍā, keeps watch over us at all times. The expeditious Tvaritā, comes to our rescue at all times. So are the blessings of the glorious Mahāvidya Tārā and Her complete protection is ensured at all times.
pātu māṃ kālikā nityaṃ kālarātriḥ sadā'vatu ।
navadurgāḥ sadā pātu kāmākṣī (kāmākhyā) sarvadā'vatu ॥ 14 ॥
पातु मां कालिका नित्यं कालरात्रिः सदाऽवतु ।
नवदुर्गाः सदा पातु कामाक्षी (कामाख्या) सर्वदाऽवतु ॥ १४ ॥
The first Mahāvidya Kālikā also provides Her complete protection to the devotees of the kavacam. The Goddess Kālarātri, who represents the highest turiyā states of consciousness, also keeps a watch over us at all times.
The aspects of the Divine Mother, the nine auspicious Navadurgā-s, provide a complete ring of protection and seal us from any harm whatsoever. The Divine Goddess the ever-menstruating Kāmākhyā and the complete wish-fulfilling Kāmākṣī, take care of our interests at all times and offer their protection as well.
yoginyaḥ sarvadā pātu mudrāḥ pātu sadā sama ।
mātrāḥ pātu sadā devyaś-cakrasthā yoginī gaṇāḥ ॥ 15 ॥
योगिन्यः सर्वदा पातु मुद्राः पातु सदा सम ।
मात्राः पातु सदा देव्यश्चक्रस्था योगिनी गणाः ॥ १५ ॥
The entire legion of Yoginis, all the power-bestowing mudrās (hand gestures), The powers associated with the entire Sanskrit alphabet (mātrās) and their associated Mātṛkās, as well as all the yantras and cakras (mystical diagrams) of the devas (gods) and their associated āvaraṇa (covering) deities, protect us at all times.
sarvatra sarvakāryeṣu sarvakarmasu sarvadā ।
pātu māṃ devadevī ca lakṣmīḥ sarva-samṛddhidā ॥ 16 ॥
सर्वत्र सर्वकार्येषु सर्वकर्मसु सर्वदा ।
पातु मां देवदेवी च लक्ष्मीः सर्वसमृद्धिदा ॥ १६ ॥
The Divine Mother Goddess Lakṣmī, offers Her blessings at all times and under all circumstances and ensures successful accomplishment of all tasks and duties in a timely manner. She ensures complete satisfaction and immense prosperity, to cherish for lifetimes.
phalaśruti (फलश्रुति) :-
iti te kathitaṃ divyaṃ kavacaṃ sarvasiddhaye ।
yatra patra na vaktavyaṃ yadī-cchedātmano hitam ॥ 17 ॥
इति ते कथितं दिव्यं कवचं सर्वसिद्धये ।
यत्र पत्र न वक्तव्यं यदीच्छेदात्मनो हितम् ॥ १७ ॥
This Divine Kavacam grants all magical siddhis (powers/perfections) to the faithful. For it to take effect, one must show complete devotion and sincerity and not criticize or speak in disparagement.
śaṭhāya bhaktihīnāya nindakāya maheśvarī ।
nyūnāṅge cātiriktāṅge darśayenna kadācana ॥ 18 ॥
शठाय भक्तिहीनाय निन्दकाय महेश्वरी ।
न्यूनाङ्गे चातिरिक्ताङ्गे दर्शयेन्न कदाचन ॥ १८ ॥
The Divine Mother Maheśvarī, never reveals Herself to cheaters, those who lack devotion, or those who blame others for their ills. Those who are spiritually devoid or with malefic desires and bearing impure thoughts and intentions, may also be deprived of Her vision.
(A defective mindset and impure intentions are referenced in this śloka and not necessarily bodily defects.)
na stavaṃ darśayed-divyaṃ sandarśya śivahā bhavet ।
kulīnīya mahecchāya durgā-bhakti-parāya ca ॥ 19 ॥
न स्तवं दर्शयेद्दिव्यं सन्दर्श्य शिवहा भवेत् ।
कुलीनीय महेच्छाय दुर्गाभक्तिपराय च ॥ १९ ॥
This stotram/stavam (hymn) will not manifest its wondrous results, if one is not a believer and a worshipper of the Divine Mother Śakti or any of Her manifestations. It has been revealed for the followers of the kulā/kaulā (family tradition) and also for the benefit of worshippers of Goddess Durgā and all Her aspects.
vaiṣṇavāya viśuddhāya dadyāt-kavaca-muttamam ।
nija-śiṣyāya śāntāya dhanine jñānine tathā ॥ 20 ॥
वैष्णवाय विशुद्धाय दद्यात्कवचमुत्तमम् ।
निजशिष्याय शान्ताय धनिने ज्ञानिने तथा ॥ २० ॥
The worshippers of Lord Viṣṇu and all other devotional, virtuous, peace-loving, and spiritual minded people may take advantage of this highly revered hymn and chant for all desires, material and spiritual.
dadyāt kavacamit-yuktaṃ sarva-tantra-samanvitam ।
śanau maṅgalavāre ca rakta-candana-kaistathā ॥ 21 ॥
दद्यात् कवचमित्युक्तं सर्वतन्त्रसमन्वितम् ।
शनौ मङ्गलवारे च रक्तचन्दनकैस्तथा ॥ २१ ॥
One who recites the kavacam with the mantra of Śrī Kamalātmikā, will receive the benefits of chanting the mantras of all tantras. This kavacam has the potency of all tantras combined! One may recite the kavacam on Saturdays and/or Tuesdays, with red sandalwood smeared on their body.
yāvakena likhen-mantraṃ sarva-tantra-samanvitam ।
vilikhya kavacaṃ divyaṃ svayambhu kusumaiḥ śubhaiḥ ॥ 22 ॥
यावकेन लिखेन्मन्त्रं सर्वतन्त्रसमन्वितम् ।
विलिख्य कवचं दिव्यं स्वयम्भु कुसुमैः शुभैः ॥ २२ ॥
Writing the mantras in the aforesaid manner, will also confer the same benefits, which is the sum total of all tantras combined. Writing the entire kavacam will confer auspiciousness and may manifest the direct presence of the Divine Mother. One will surely obtain all prosperity if the Divine Mother is worshipped with flower blossoms.
svaśukraḥ praśukrairvā nānā-gandha samanvitaiḥ ।
gorocanā kuṅkumena rakta-candana-kena vā ॥ 23 ॥
स्वशुक्रः प्रशुक्रैर्वा नानागन्ध समन्वितैः ।
गोरोचना कुङ्कुमेन रक्तचन्दनकेन वा ॥ २३ ॥
One may also inscribe the mantras and/or the kavacam with one’s one sexual discharges (if there is a desire to attract someone) and/or with those of any others and/or with various unguents mixed together with the essence of a bezoar stone from a cow, called gorocanā and a red powder called Kuṅkuma, along with red sandal wood powder – Raktacandana.
sutithau śubhāyoge vā śravaṇāyāṃ raver-dine ।
āśvinyām kṛttikāyāṃ vā phālgunyāṃ vā maghāsu ca ॥ 24 ॥
सुतिथौ शुभायोगे वा श्रवणायां रवेर्दिने ।
आश्विन्याम् कृत्तिकायां वा फाल्गुन्यां वा मघासु च ॥ २४ ॥
The inscription may be done on an auspicious day and time (tithi/muhurta/yoga), when the planets are aligned properly bestowing benefits, during the moon’s transit of Śravaṇa nakṣatra (asterism) on a Sunday; or, during the moon’s transit of the Aśvinī, Kṛttikā, Phālgunī, Maghā nakṣatras.
pūrva-bhādra-padāyoge svātyāṃ maṅgala-vāsare ।
vilekhet-prapaṭhet-stotraṃ śubhayoge surālaye ॥ 25 ॥
पूर्वभाद्रपदायोगे स्वात्यां मङ्गलवासरे ।
विलेखेत्प्रपठेत्स्तोत्रं शुभयोगे सुरालये ॥ २५ ॥
The inscription can also be done during the moon’s transit of Pūrva bhādrapada nakṣatra on Tuesdays. One may write or recite the stotram, at all auspicious occasions and days and in places of worship.
āyuṣmat-prīti-yoge ca brahma-yoge viśeṣataḥ ।
īndra-yoge śubhe yoge śukra-yoge tathaiva ca ॥ 26 ॥
आयुष्मत्प्रीतियोगे च ब्रह्मयोगे विशेषतः ।
ईन्द्रयोगे शुभे योगे शुक्रयोगे तथैव च ॥ २६ ॥
Especially during the auspicious timings of āyuṣman or the life prolonging phase, during the knowledge bestowing Brahmå phase, Victory-enhancing Indra phase, auspiciousness-bestowing śubha phase and during the bliss bestowing śukra phase. It should be recited in a temple.
kaulake bālake caiva vaṇije caiva sattamaḥ ।
śunyāgāre śmaśāne ca vijane ca viśeṣataḥ ॥ 27 ॥
कौलके बालके चैव वणिजे चैव सत्तमः ।
शुन्यागारे श्मशाने च विजने च विशेषतः ॥ २७ ॥
During the times corresponding to the specific Kāraṇas (half a lunar day, further split per Vedic calculations) of Kaulava, Bālava and Vaṇija, It is recommended to recite the kavacam, in quiet and desolate places or burial grounds, or any uncrowded places.
kumārīṃ pūjasitvādau yajed-devīṃ sanātanīm ।
matsyair-māmsaiḥ śākasūpaiḥ pūjayet-para-devatām ॥ 28 ॥
कुमारीं पूजसित्वादौ यजेद्देवीं सनातनीम् ।
मत्स्यैर्माम्सैः शाकसूपैः पूजयेत्परदेवताम् ॥ २८ ॥
To invoke the blessings of the Goddess, One must offer prayers to a young girl followed by the deity representing the Divine Mother Herself. Those following Vāma (left-handed path of worship) and/or Kaula (Middle path) mārgas (traditions) may offer fish and meat, as well as fruits and vegetables in their pūja rituals. Those following the right handed Dakṣiṇa mārga (tradition) may offer fruits, vegetables and any cooked vegetarian food. Those following the meditational samaya mārga (tradition) may make their offerings internally (mentally) and invoke the appropriate mudrās.
ghṛtādyaiḥ sopakaraṇaiḥ puṣpa-dhūpair-viśeṣataḥ ।
brahmaṇān bhogyitvā ca pūjayet-parameśvarīṃ ॥ 29 ॥
घृताद्यैः सोपकरणैः पुष्पधूपैर्विशेषतः ।
ब्रह्मणान् भोग्यित्वा च पूजयेत्परमेश्वरीं ॥ २९ ॥
The Divine Mother should be worshipped in a proper manner with flowers, incense and light, offered to Her in a ritualistic manner and priests must be fed with food cooked in a traditional manner with clarified butter or ghee and sweet lentil cakes and other well-cooked spicy meals. This will invoke further blessings and fructification of the kavacam.
ākheṭakam-upākhyānaṃ tatra kuryād-dina-trayam ।
tadādaren-mahāvidyāṃ śaṅkareṇa prabhāṣitām ॥ 30 ॥
आखेटकमुपाख्यानं तत्र कुर्याद्दिनत्रयम् ।
तदादरेन्महाविद्यां शङ्करेण प्रभाषिताम् ॥ ३० ॥
One should diligently pursue the recitation, as one would chase and perceive their dreams and wishes, by performing the recitation and associated rituals three times a day. This is the way to please the great Mahāvidyā Śrī Kamalātmikā, as per the great traditions propounded by Lord Śaṅkara.
māraṇa-dvaiṣṇādīni labhate nātra saṃśayaḥ ।
sa bhavet-pārvatī-putraḥ sarva-śāstra-puras-kṛtaḥ ॥ 31 ॥
मारणद्वैष्णादीनि लभते नात्र संशयः ।
स भवेत्पार्वतीपुत्रः सर्वशास्त्रपुरस्कृतः ॥ ३१ ॥
By observing these practices over a period of time, one would be protected fully from the wicked people and entities bent upon destroying, killing and/or spreading hatred on us. One would also become equal to Lord Gaṇeśa, in mastering all the scriptures (śāstras) fully and gain the full blessings of the Divine Mother Pārvatī.
gurud-devo haraḥ sākṣāt-patnī tasya hara-priyā ।
abhedena bhajedyastu tasya siddhir-adūrataḥ ॥ 32 ॥
गुरुद्देवो हरः साक्षात्पत्नी तस्य हरप्रिया ।
अभेदेन भजेद्यस्तु तस्य सिद्धिरदूरतः ॥ ३२ ॥
Gradually, one obtains the realization that one’s true spiritual guru ((master) is none other than Lord Śiva Himself and one’s wife is none other than an aspect of the Divine Mother Śakti Herself. One begins to see the combination of Śiva-Śakti everywhere.
paṭhati ya eha martyo nityam-ārdra-antarātmā ।
japa-phalam-anumeyaṃ lapsyate yadvideyam ।
sa bhavati padam-uccaiḥ sampadāṃ pādanamra-kṣitipa-mukuṭa-lakṣmīr-lakṣaṇānāṃ cirāya ॥ 33 ॥
पठति य एह मर्त्यो नित्यमार्द्रान्तरात्मा ।
जपफलमनुमेयं लप्स्यते यद्विदेयम् ।
स भवति पदमुच्चैः सम्पदां पादनम्र-क्षितिपमुकुटलक्ष्मीर्लक्षणानां चिराय ॥ ३३ ॥
One who recites this stotram/hymn with fervent devotion and belief from deep within his heart and mind, on a daily basis will surely gain all the immeasurable benefits of the mantra japa, of this kavacam, and that of Śrī Kamalātmikā mantra. One will abound in bountiful riches within this very lifetime and never lack in any success. One’s status will be elevated to that of royalty, and they will lead a very respectful life and gain adoration of many.

All tantric mantras and stotras require an initiation to practice. For reading purposes, you do not need an initiation.

Hello sir, regarding sloka 28: To invoke the blessings of the Goddess 1) One must offer prayers to a young girl. Can this be a young a daughter/niece? 2) Those following the meditational samaya mārga (tradition) may make their offerings internally (mentally) and invoke the appropriate mudrās: which mudras are appropriate? 1.) Yes, you may do so. 2.) I am not aware of the specific mudras related to Śrī Kamalātmikā, but you may offer the Pañca Pūja mudras that are displayed in mantra japa, in lieu of the deity specific mudras.

Hello sir, regarding sloka 21: "... One may recite the kavacam on Saturdays and/or Tuesdays, with red sandalwood smeared on their body", is there a relationship between this kavacam and the planet Mars? And, Can this kavacam be recited on days other than Saturday/Tuesday? Thank you sir.
