Śrī Aṅgāraka/Maṅgala/Kuja deva ṣaḍākṣarī mahāmantraḥ (श्री अङ्गारक/मङ्गल/कुज देव षडाक्षरी महामन्त्रः) :-
Source :- Upāsanā Pārijātam.
Purpose :- Perfect and harmonious relationships, timely marriage, marital bliss, resolution of all conflicts, litigations, court cases etc, control over aggressive behavior and emotions, removal of all miseries due to the ill placement or aspects of Mars in one’s horoscope.
Pre-requisites :- Initiation to the mantra is recommended.
1. viniyogaḥ (विनियोगः) :-
asya śrī bhūmiputra mantrasya ।
virūpa ṛṣiḥ ।

धरात्मजो देवता ।
हाँ बीजं ।
खँ शक्तिः ।
खः कीलकं ।
श्री भूमिपुत्र अङ्गारक ग्रह प्रसाद सिद्ध्यर्थे जपे विनियोगः ॥
Meaning:- This prayer/mantra japa is to invoke Śrī Aṅgāraka/Maṅgala/Kuja deva and perform His mantra japa to obtain His complete grace in all aspects, specifically for removal of all types of maladies in one’s horoscope caused due to the aspects or bad placement of Mars in one’s natal horoscope, as well as to gain peace of mind and contentment in life. With His blessings, marital problems, legal issues and all other conflicts are easily resolved. The sage (ṛṣiḥ) is the divine seer Virūpa, the meter (chandas) for the mantra is Gāyatrī and the deity is the conflict resolver Śrī Dharātma (another name of Lord Aṅgāraka/Maṅgala) deva, the seed (bījaṃ) is hām̐, the power or śakti is kham̐. The key (kīlakaṃ) to unlock the mantra is khaḥ.

Open up the left palm and strike it three times with index and middle fingers of the right hand. |

इति षडङ्ग न्यासः |

भूर्भुवस्सुवरोमिति दिग्बन्धः॥
May all the directions be sealed and may no thoughts or disturbances impact our ability to recite the hymn.
5. dhyānaṃ (ध्यानं) :-
japābhaṃ śivasvedajaṃ hasta padme gadā śūla śaktirvaraṃ dhārayantam ।
avantī samutthaṃ sumeṣāsanasthaṃ dharā nandanaṃ raktavastraṃ samīḍe ॥ 1 ॥
japākusuma saṅkāśam śaktiśūla gadādharam ।
meṣasaṃsthaṃ raktavastraṃ taṃ vande'haṃ dharātmajam ॥ 2 ॥
जपाभं शिवस्वेदजं हस्त पद्मे गदा शूल शक्तिर्वरं धारयन्तम् ।
अवन्ती समुत्थं सुमेषासनस्थं धरा नन्दनं रक्तवस्त्रं समीडे ॥ १ ॥
जपाकुसुम सङ्काशम् शक्तिशूल गदाधरम् ।
मेषसंस्थं रक्तवस्त्रं तं वन्देऽहं धरात्मजम् ॥ २ ॥
Meaning:- Salutations and praise be to the hibiscus flower like, red complexioned Divine Father Lord Aṅgāraka/Maṅgala deva, hailed as a warrior and savior by the blessed land of Avanti and its denizens. May we mediate upon Lord Aṅgāraka/Maṅgala deva, who has emerged from the sweat of Lord Śiva and is the son of Mother Earth. He is seated on a ram, adorning blood-red garments shining forth. He is also holding a lotus representing higher consciousness, a mace to pulverize our ego and all obstacles preventing success, a trident to pierce through the triads, a lance/spear to pierce the intricate karmas and displaying a vara/boon bestowing mudra. May He remove all our fears and bestow all our wishes and desires.

Hold the fingers of each palm in a folded manner with the tips of each fingers of both hands touching each other and the thumbs facing the heart, in a Namaste position. |
7. Japamālā mantraṃ (जपमाला मन्त्रं) :-
Recite the below mantra once, to pray to the japa māla and invoke the blessings for a fruitful japa.
om̐ māṃ māle mahāmāye sarvamantra svarūpiṇi ।
caturvarga stvayinyasta stasmānye siddhidā bhava ॥
ॐ मां माले महामाये सर्वमन्त्र स्वरूपिणि ।
चतुर्वर्ग स्त्वयिन्यस्त स्तस्मान्ये सिद्धिदा भव॥
8. Guru Mantra (गुरु मन्त्र) :- Recite the following guru mantra once, to seek the blessings of all gurus and the Guru.
om̐ hrīm̐ siddhaguro prasīda hrīm̐ om̐ ।
ॐ ह्रीं सिद्धगुरो प्रसीद ह्रीं ॐ ।
9. Atha Śrī Aṅgāraka/Maṅgala deva ṣaḍākṣarī Mantraḥ (अथ श्री अङ्गारक देव षडाक्षरी महामन्त्रः)
Following is the 6 lettered Śrī Aṅgāraka/Maṅgala deva mantra, that should be recited at least 108 times (1 mālā).
om̐ hām̐ ham̐ saḥ kham̐ khaḥ ।
ॐ हाँ हँ सः खँ खः ।
Aṅgāraka/Maṅgala deva gāyatrī mantra (अङ्गारक देव गायत्री मन्त्र) – (Recite 10 times)
aṅgārakāya vidmahe ।
śakti hastāya dhīmahi ।
tanno bhaumaḥ pracodayāt ॥
अङ्गारकाय विद्महे ।
शक्ति हस्ताय धीमहि ।
तन्नो भौमः प्रचोदयात् ॥
Meaning:-
The bīja (seed) mantra om̐ represents Śabda Brahman and is also called the praṇava mantra or the primordial sound, the manifested super-consciousness in the form of sound and all syllables. All other sounds and waves are said to have emanated from this mantra.
The bīja (seed) mantra hām̐ represents rapid expansion of consciousness.
The bīja (seed) mantra ham̐ represents the attainment of spiritual liberation. ‘Ha’ also represents Śiva and Ākāśa, which is the infinite and boundless ether.
The bīja saḥ represent bliss and ecstatic states of mind, obtained through this mantra japa.
The bīja (seed) mantra kham̐, represents the severance and detachment from all desires and the effects of all triads.
The bīja (seed) mantra khaḥ, represents the culmination of all desires and the oneness with the divine through complete surrender. It is a state of ecstasy and pure bliss.
The complete surrender represented by the above seed syllables removes us from the karmic effects of the graha-s and grants us all the desires we seek. Note that we surrender even our desires to the Divine and with whose blessings, we obtain the same.

13. Samarpaṇam (समर्पणम्) :- Take water in uttaraṇi (spoon) and by reciting the following śloka, offer the water to the earth.
guhyātiguhyagoptrā tvaṁ gṛhāṇāsmat-kṛtaṁ japam ।
siddhirbhavatu me deva tvatprasādānmayi sthirā ॥
गुह्यातिगुह्यगोप्त्रा त्वं गृहाणास्मत्-कृतं जपम् ।
सिद्धिर्भवतु मे देव त्वत्प्रसादान्मयि स्थिरा ॥
14. japānaṃtaraṃ mālāmantraṃ (जपानंतरं मालामन्त्रं) :-
Recite the below śloka and mantra, followed by placing the māla upon the top of the head and then place it back in the māla bag and conceal it. It should NOT be worn.

śubhaṃ kuruṣya me bhadre yaśo vīryaṃ ca dehime॥

I am about to get into sadesati and i fancied to do sth against it but there's a warning for sri vidya worshipers those who are initiated into sri vidya and chant lalitha sahasranama cannot perform any rituals for planets and if its done it will be counted as sins. So i dont know what to do. Ive got the sade sati removal mantra and i dont know if i should use it

The planets exert a lot of karmic influence on our lives and directly control our destiny. Even for śrī vidya devotees, it may become necessary to propitiate the planets during difficult times. Not everyone follows the daily rituals expected of a śrī vidya upāsaka. Advanced devotees may not face these problems.

Dear sir, How will I get initiated into this mantra? Apart from that, it's one day sadhna I think, when to be started, what will be the Aasana, what type of mala and direction of sitting? Do we need yantra or photograph etc for mantra jap? Please explain, Regards

It is possible to perform this in a single day, choosing the best possible muhurta on a Tuesday. We will publish the Yantra and its consecration at a later time. You may also refer to any Navagraha related books to get that information or seek from a practicing guru. We hope to publish kavaca-s for the grahas as well. For initiation, you may seek from your own guru and if not feasible, you may approach anyone on our mantra initiations page. It is important to check your horoscope and decide if there are any benefits from this mantra japa.

Do you plan to publish Protective Prayers (Kavacham) to the planets in the future? What is the difference between Kavacham and Kavacha?

It is our intention to publish the kavacas, if there's any interest amongst people to recite and understand the same! The word kavaca (in IAST), kavacham (simple Sanskrit to English translation) or kavach or kavacha stotra etc. are all synonyms. We prefer to use the IAST standard in the articles, as it's lossless in the transliteration from Sanskrit to Roman letters.

I would read the kavacha that you would publish.I know that every day of the week has its own planet of ruler that governs it.Can you use those mantras that you have posted for reading during the week.For example: Monday-candra, Tuesday-mangala , Wednesday-budha, and so on. And what are the best mantras to read?

Hello, Krishna Ji! Thanks you a lot for your works, and for this site! could you explain, please, why there are -āyai endings in panchapuja? if i understand right, it is feminine endings, but here we worship Mangala deva, who undoubtedly appears as a male manifestation. So, why are we using -āyai instead of -āya?

It is a mistake on my part and I have used the feminine notation for most articles in the past, as almost 99% of the articles I posted are Devi mantras. I have tried to address this in the FAQ article wherein it is mentioned to use 'ane' for male deities and 'ikāyai' for female deitites. For eg:- it would be pṛthvyātmane for male deites and pṛthvyātmikāyai for female deities etc. In due course of time, I will correct the mantra articles such as this with the correct notation.
